Turn your Thanksgiving dinner into a tangy showstopper!

As the air turns crisp and the leaves fall, we’re reminded of the joy in gathering, sharing, and giving thanks. This Thanksgiving, we’re here to help you bring something extra special to the table by sharing Silda's Jam-Basted Holiday Recipe.
Silda's Jam-Basted Holiday Recipe - for birds of all sizes!
We used Cornish Hens to make dinner for two! But this recipe works for birds of all sizes. Pick your favorite jam flavor. We chose Silda's Cherry Pie Jam for the perfect balance of fruity + tang!
Easy Prep!
1. Follow recommended thaw and roast temperature & times for your bird's weight.
2. Stuff with your favorite blend. We used sage for extra warmth!
3. Tie your bird's legs together with kitchen twine.
4. Season with salt and pepper, and roast in a buttered pan or on a rack.
For bigger birds (2 jars)
5. Follow the recommended roast time for your turkey.
6. Baste thoroughly with jam after 90 minutes. Repeat after an hour.
For smaller birds (1 jar)
5. After the first half hour, brush with melted butter (for a crisp crunch!).
6. After another 15 minutes, baste generously with Silda's Cherry Pie Jam for a sweet, caramelized glaze.
Enjoy with your family and friends! Serve with your favorite sides.
You can use any jam with this recipe to elevate your holiday table but we highly recommend using Silda's Jam because of its sauce-like consistency that caramelizes better than other jams. If using other jams, consider mixing with 1/2 cup of chicken stock before basting.
